What transmission is in the truck now? AOD, 4R70W or E4OD.

The one for the 5.0 I'm not sure how to figure out which it is honestly.

Easy Button: Look at the sticker on the b-pillar (aka door jamb sticker) look for the transmission code:

TR= Transmission Code

Code E = E4OD
Code U = 4R70W

I believe the AOD was not an option in 1994. So that brings me back to my original question intent. The 4R70W and E4OD are 100% electronic controlled therefore the best advice is check for codes. If you had an AOD, mechanical/hydraulic, I would suggest to check the TV cable.
