Hey Graeme - is your truck right-hand drive?

I've often wondered if the engine in rhd trucks is offset to the left to create some room for a steering box, and if the ex manifolds are different etc.

The console was an option in addition to the Ranger package, although of course only available with the "basic" Ranger package which was bucket seats, tank cover, badges and full carpet.
You are looking for a '64 or '65? (N. Amer.) Ford Falcon console. I don't know of one for sale but they are out there.

Will you post up a picture of your camper special ranger? Maybe one of the warranty plate, too?

It's a Ranger spec-Camper Special with Tinted Glass, Bucket Seats, Carpet, A/C, 352 V8, A/T & L.S.D. less centre console and the Bed Top-Tie Down Rails .

Apparently when the truck was ordered new, the Centre Console was deleted as this is where the family needed so sit and the Bed Top-Tie Down Rails were also deleted as it was fitted with a slide in camper.
All Rangers came with bucket seats and carpeting, the center console was optional. It's the same as 1964/65 Falcon Sprint, except the console base is Ranger only, due to the hump in the floor pan.

Camper was added by RV dealer, as FoMoCo didn't offer a-slide-in-the-bed camper or camper shell until 1973.

No such thing as genuine Ford factory bed top tie down rails for trucks of this vintage. I've seen them, but were installed by RV dealers.

Something similar was first offered in 1973, but they do not mount on the tops of the bed, they mount on the sides of the bed and resemble shock absorbers.

What does L.S.D. refer to besides the hallucinating induced drug and in naval lingo, Landing Ship Dock?
