Ford Accused of Infringing Fuel-Injection Patent in F-150 - Bloomberg

Reading through the article, the timing seems about right since the ecoboost made it's actual mass produced debut in 2009.

It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds and if this changes anything on future ecoboost engines.

 

Tim did you check the date of that article? It's August 2012. Seems to me that we would have heard more in the past year had this built up into anything substantial. None the less, it's interesting stuff and the timing is about right as you pointed out.

 

Pretty certain that this went by-by with a settlement. If it were still an issue I agree we would have heard more about it. EcoBoost seems to be Fords way forward and I have no doubt that Ford would do what was necessary to protect that path.
