I have a 2001e150 van with a axle code of 19
I have a 1996 f150 that I need to know if it will fit the van, can I decipher the vin to see what axle the f150 has in it, I could not locate the axle code on the f150

Well, you want a reply, so here goes. I don't know if it will work or not.

 

Axle code should be on the date plate on the door. There may be a tag on the axle itself.

Did you measure the width between the spring perches? And overall width? Are they the same axle--8.8 Ford for example? Do the yokes match up?

No one can answer these as well as the person looking at the axles....

 

direct swap. 5 hrs for me and my mech to do, now for te next person who tries it, good luck with help from the forum !
