Brake master cylinder

Hey guys,

Went to change my master cylinder today and the replacement part O'Reillys gave me just doesn't seem right... ( Brakes - Imgur ). I've googled everywhere and can't seem to tell the difference. Do I not have an original brake system?

On a related note, changed a set of brakes for the first time today! The picture is of the drum (hopefully) put back together.

Thanks!

The new looooong pushrod is simply for a manual brake system. Just reuse your shorty because you have a power brake booster.

Congrats on the brake work. But for future work, use the tools available to you and take pictures before disassembly. It also helps to have a manual on hand... even a Chilton or Haynes manual. Something is better than nothing.

When you guys do your upgrades and go buy a donor truck you can always go to the parts house and get parts for that truck and they will work. When you don't know what to ask for, you blame the Parts house for giving you the wrong parts.

This site is loaded with smart guys that argue a better way but aren't around to help when there is a real problem.
