Rebuild TPS? NOT
#16
well, i may have made some headway on the power-loss problem last night. i'll be testing out the fix tonight and this weekend. if i'm convince i have it licked, i could be convinced to part with one of my IVS for a while... then just send it back when your new one comes in.
if you really need to get your truck on the road, i'm happy to help - I've certainly been there myself and it sucks!

Lemme know what happens with the power loss issue. I am really curious to know. And JP, thanks again. My door is always open!

well, i just posted in two threads i have going on the issue, that i may have just licked it over my lunch break. only time will tell, though.
i used to have a first gen forester myself - that was a long time ago.
and i agree - def some great guys on here. guys have helped me out big time in the past, so whenever i can pass it along, i'm more than willing.
another thought on your issue would be to try Mouser.com. their website is a little tricky to navigate, but they seem to be the McMaster of electronics - I've found some pretty obscure connectors and switches on there - maybe they have some in stock when Eaton doesn't...
and if i'm ever in Oceanside, i'll let you know. my brother-in-law lives in LA - that's about the only time i get out that far West, though.
