I just talked to a place in Texas that had 4 sb with tailgates rust free for $1300-$1500. So yours you found seems about right depending where you are. The $1300 one was an 08 with a small dent/scratch. Verry minor.

Yeah, around here 6 foot beds are much more expensive. Usually around $2500-$3000. So I am thinking of grabbing this one even though my truck is white. I have to see what it will cost to have it painted though. It may be a wash that way. Mine has a good deal of rust bubling through the wheel wells, and I jack-knifed my garden trailer into the side of it a few years ago so the one I have needs a good deal of work too, so I don't know what to do. I havent priced getting the one I have fixed, but in my head, it's got to be pretty expensive.

You should definitely invest in a new one then. The guy I bought my truck from put retread tires on the truck, we know what happens with those, and I had the drivers side rear tire blow the side of the bed out so I replaced it with a 2012 bed. Looks great! I picked mine up in Indiana.

new bed skins are about $450 per side. then you gotta put em on and paint em too.

If he got hit on one side that might be a smarter way to go.

i paid $1700 for mine, and put another $400 into it to repair the minor rust to the cross members and undercoat it and the truck frame before install.

I know there are huge advantages to undercoating but I'm not attracted to it.....

I wasn't looking to travel that far. I thought 1800 for tailgate, bed, and lights was perfect.
