C6 decided it didn't wanted to drain itself
Well I had to park my 66' F100 with a 429 and a c6, a few weeks ago due to a seized oil pump. I then traveled around for a few weeks to get back to my shop and find 2-3 quarts of trans fluid on my shop floor. I checked the dipstick and the pan still had fluid in it. ( not sure if it makes a difference that the engines not running. )
Today I pulled the front clip and pulled my engine. I can see some trans fluid in the bottom of the bell housing, but am clueless to how it would have gotten all over the pan and around all of the pan bolts.
Anyone ever experience anything like this? Anything I should look for? A couple of weeks before the oil pump seized I did a trans fluid and filter swap.
Thank you,
Jesse
