Opinions on BG Lubricants/Fluids
Hi.
Additional notice:
My intentions are for use as intended 'BG 7161 in the 6.0L' engine and 'BG 3143 in the 5R110'.
These have been used successfully in both for years and 100s of thousands of mile, yet I
prefer to come here for a more trusted confirmation or contrary conjecture.
I'm hoping for feedback, opinions and 1st hand results using the BG oil and fluid listed below.
BG 7161 ~ 15W40 100% Synthetic Diesel Crankcase Oil (for 6.0L)
BG 3143 ~ 100% Synthetic Transmission Fluid (for 5R110)
Thanks for any opinions, experience and knowledge!

There is BG 312 (upgraded to version 3143 ATF) Mercron SP spec compatibility listed at several sites.
04badford,
Thanks for the info, I added a clarifying notice that my intentions are for use as intended in the 6.0's belly and the 5R110 transmission respectively.
No adding to the fuel.
the_auto_tech,
Agreed, I've used their flush fluids and systems plus marine 2-stroke in my 150 NA Merc on my Nitro bassin' rig for many years.
I am hoping that someone viewing this can confirm having many miles of trouble free service on the 5R110 with BG's 3143 100% synthetic tranny fluid. The engine oil is less of a concern and can only help reduce striction.
I have seen full synthetic crankcase lubricants dry out composite chain guides in turbo bikes in the eighties.
Thanks a truckload!
