Rear fenders 50 f2

Hey all I'm in need of some rear fenders for my 50 f2 the ones that were on my the old po welded them on so I had to cut them off n there very rusty so I need a set I'm in boone Iowa

I have a pair from a 52. Just need to find the time to remove them. They're mostly straight, but I don't know how they are at the running boards since the boards are still attached.

We're are u from cuz I live in boone ia n don't for alot to spend

He is in California, user locations are usually right of their username, like 51Panel has done.

Take my advice...if someone is offering a set of F2 fenders, jump on the chance since they are very hard to find and each year become more scarce. The price including shipping and the following bodywork needed may be a considerable part of your restoration expense, but it is worth it when you are finished. These trucks just don't look right with mis-matched fenders or a home-made flatbed unless the builder has exceptional customization or carpentry skills. And that route costs big money and takes a lot of time too.

Here is a photo of some F2 fenders I bought a couple of years ago from a member that lived 2,000 miles away from me. They needed plenty of work and the shipping to Maine was an eye-opener. But they came out good and were finally painted two weeks ago. When my bed comes back from the paint shop next week I'll be real excited to attach them.
I feel so protective of them I'm storing them inside the house. I should insure them through Lloyd's of London because a fully finished set of F2 fenders is rare as hens teeth. Now If I can just get them bolted on without scratching them I'll be happy with all the time and money that went into them.
Ol' mister 51Panelman is doing us old truck fans a real favor by salvaging hard to find parts and be willing to part with them - mainly to see these F2/F3 trucks come back to life and get back on the road with pride.

I've been sending pictures around of the fenders like a lady showing pictures of grandchildren to everyone including total strangers.

It took two years of body shop hell (and three different shops) before the fenders were actually straightened, repaired, smoothed out and then painted by yet another shop. Finding folks that are willing and capable of doing old round fenders is really tough in this area. Damn...I probably should find someone to make a fiberglass mold of these so that NOBODY has to go through the trouble that I did. I'll have 50 sets stamped out at a time and that can be my retirement nest egg.

Anybody know of a fiberglass company?

I rebuilt the rear fenders on my F-2 about 20 years ago. They were bad but I couldn't find a decent replacement pair. I cut out and replaced 4-5 inches from the mounting flange from the bottom of the front to the bottom of the rear, the complete lip. I also replaced the area from the bottom of the front of the wheel opening to the mounting flange and the corner at the bottom of the rear of the wheel opening. I mean the fenders were in bad shape. That's 20 years ago and they still look pretty good. When I used 14 gauge steel for the mounting flange, it's what I had on hand and I also wanted a heavier flange than stock.

I tried to find pictures on my computer, I don't have any on this machine, I'll look on my home computer when I get home.

Pinecone; Sorry about the oldman sausage fingers. I'm going to keep that picture of your fenders as an inspiration as I take a bodywork course. Finding someone to do them is, as you know, just too frustrating.
