There's a set of F-2 or F-3 rear fenders on U pay. THey look decent and have had metal work done, so it says. Just thought somebody might want to know, as how scarce these are.

I just hauled my old F-3 front fenders to the scrap yard yesterday. They had some rust but were usuable with a little work. I tried to give them away in the classifieds for almost a year but no takers. It was tough to see them go to the crusher...

 

Argh.....I didn't need fenders a year ago.....If you guys are thinking about throwing away F2 sheet metal, let me know...I do need some now.....

 

Would these F2/F3 fenders bolt-up to the holes in a 8-foot box from a 53-56 truck?

No, these fenders won't fit. The '48-52 F-2 fenders have a "Step" in the mating surface to accomodate the raised panel on the side of the box. I also think they might be narrower than the new truck's fenders.
