1994 lens assembly

a POS hit my truck in the middle of the night and now i have to replace the broken lens assembly. i grabbed one from the wrecker that was already removed so i never learned how it was done. when i started in on removing my broken one i got stuck on the bottom 2 fasteners ... i cant see any way to get at them without removing the grill, then unbolting the sheet metal piece that runs along between the grille/lens assembly and the bumper.

seems like a lot of unnecessary work just to get a lens off ... could ford really have designed something this poorly, or am i missing something ?

You go in from the engine bay. Remove the wiper fluid reservoir. Once it is out of the way there are two holes on the core support that allow access to the two nuts holding the bottom of the headlight bezel, turn signal and marker light in. The holes are right behind the turn signal. You will have to feel for them, but they are there.

*Edit: Here you go. Read this:

If you (And you will) break those PITA clips, here's some quality replacements. HELP! sells them 2 in a pack, for $4...And they're Chinese POS...

These are north American made, and made here in KY... I paid $11 for a whole BOX full.

Here's some pics (Has the website on the box.)

I bought the same box of head light clips on Ebay I think it was. The HELP section ones are way overpriced and are definitely not as nice.
