Question Brake rotors, Calipers and pads......

I want to replace everything for the front brakes. I been researching Napa, Advanced and Auto zone. I want good quality parts since I do tow. Which parts store's parts do you trust most? Thanks

When I was looking for caliper replacements, NAPA was the only one that had the steel pistoned calipers. I am also running their Ceramix blended pads. They work well for towing and give minimal dust.

When looking at rotors, I don't want something thats going to warp or glaze over either.
I was leaning more to Napa

I have dtilled/slotted rotors that I purchased online. NAPA products may not be the least expensive, but they don't lack quality.

I have all 4 of their rotors, less the pads. Went with the NAPA Ceramix all around. Stops great. No warping.

Roland you have touched on the fact that you made it a point to find steel piston calipers. Which I think is very important when trying to stop these big truck. I can't believe that they even make phenolic (plastic) caliper pistons for these trucks but they do. So for those of you looking to buy reman or new calipers make sure they are the steel ones.

And here is a quick read on the differents between the two. What Lasts Longer with Brake Caliper Pistons, Phenolic or Metal? - Autos.com And as it says the phenolic which is a fancy work for plastic can't handle a heavy load. So in my book they are JUNK for these big heavy truck that tow!!

I myself am running Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors on all my vehicles and am very pleased with them. And on my truck I am running Motorcraft Severe Duty pads and they very work well for towing. They are great for towing heavy loads in stop and go, good at highway speed when towing but at high speeds to a stop with no load they do fade more than I would like. But not bad. I have also heard reports that they last about 75k, time will tell I only have about 15k on them.

Sorry to bring up a two year old thread, I wanted life time pads and rotors on my F350 and went with O'Reilly's:
Pads – Wagner Thermo Quiet: Rear-MX757
Front –MX756
Rotors- Bosch QuietCast : Rear – 20010310(F8172C026CA)
Front – 20010312 (F81Z1125CA

I broke one of the rotors myself due to carelessness and it was replaced free of cost, no questions asked. I even volunteered that it was my fault. So far, very good in stop and go traffic, with much heavy braking after two years. Pads still look new. I used to replace my cheap rotors every year or so due to warping. Not these.
