Holley Terminator EFI
Hi.
This is my 400 with Tmeyer pistons
Now Im running a Barry Grant Road Series 625CFM but Im planing to get a bolt on EFI system.
My carb has a nice throttle response an I think this EFI system could be better. Also EFI has another advantages.
Does anyone have any experience with a Terminator EFI?

I am very interested in your review if you do indeed install the Terminator EFI.
I am using a smart-phone app on my iPhone called RoadTrip to track my fuel economy (or lack thereof). My build is in my signature.
Please keep track of your economy (if you do run a carb first) so we can all see how much fuel EFI saves.
Obviously the easy start, better throttle response, and always correct A/F ratios are benefits as well, but my interest in the fuel economy is to determine the break-even point with an upgrade. High teens would certainly make it justifiable from where I am at now...

I wonder how that would work on something built a little more reasonable. A cam with 230/240 @ .050 isn't subtle.
The air velocity is going to suck at low RPM. Still a valid article, most of us don't have entirely reasonable engines, but a truck motor or a slightly hotter than stock engine would show more of a difference.

Danny Cabral, who has a 79 EFI 460, told me a lot about Terminator EFI
Fuel injected engines don't suffer from oversize throttle bodies like carbureted engines do,
because the fuel can always be properly metered to the amount of air entering the engine.
Fuel injected engines don't rely on engine breathing (venturi effect) for proper fuel metering.
The 700 cfm TBI throttle body has 1½" bores, and actually flows about 650 cfm with the injector pod.
The 900 cfm TBI throttle body has 1¾" bores, and actually flows about 850 cfm with the injector pod.
The 950 cfm TBI throttle body has 1¾" bores, and actually flows 950 cfm because there's no injector pod.
Holley TBI units are CFM rated the same way as four-barrel carburetors - at a depression of 1.5 in/Hg.
(Two-barrel carburetors are rated at a depression of 3.0 in/Hg.)

After reading it all, I would choose the terminator because of the easy hook-up to my C-6 tranny kick-down linkage.
