EFI -> carb

I'm looking at a 88 F150 with a EFI 300 I6. I'm leary of getting it because I don't like working on fuel injection systems and my mechanic father is even more clueless than I am. If I do buy this and run accross problems with the EFI, how difficult would it be to switch the fuel system to carbeuration?

EFI -> carb

First I would like to say that the efi is easy to work on ! get yourself a haynes manual and read through it , to gain a better understanding of how the system works ! Efi gives better drivablity in all driving conditons and will help with fuel econme but I will say this. I have noticed that the carborated 300's have or seem to have alot more low end , right off idle , but the efi's tend to have alot more top end power . Personally I would leave the efi on the truck it would be alot easyer and cheeper in the long run . Second The efi system will tell you when somthing is wrong or not working correctly the older carb system won't !
