'04 F250 4x4 w/ 6.8l V10 and 55,000 miles. Truck is mainly used to tow a 30' toy hauler, but it mostly sits in my driveway (hence the low miles). I change the oil once a year (synthetics), and clean the K&N air filter. I am taking the truck in tomorrow to have the diff fluids changed and to realign the rear axle (bolts for the spring pack shifted). What other maintenance would you guys recommend to be performed? I am still on original trans fluid (it looks clean on the dip stick), should i be proactive and change it considering the low mileage??? anything else while its in the shop for a lil rub 'n tug?

Yes tranny fluid for sure and coolant if it hasn't been done along with T stat.

 

Definitely time to change the trans fluid and do coolant flush. Better to be proactive..
