79 f150 4x4 driveshaft HELP please!

I just swapped my 203 for a 205 (400,c6, longbed 79 f150) and the driveshaft needs to be lengthened it comes to 69 3/4 inches, is that to long or okay, it's a dd and offroad rig, I need a reply ASAP

You either need to find a 79 f150 with a np205 and get the rear shaft( assuming yours is not lifted and both are stock height) or just get a shaft that is longer and get it cut to length and balanced, anywhere from 50-$150 job at a driveshaft shop.

Or get out the driveshaft stretcher

Should be fine as long as you balance it and don't go with a heavy wall tube.harder to balance
Maybe others may chime in..

the other shop wants to sell you more stuff. 2 drive shafts and a carrier bearing setup cost a hell of a lot more than one drive shaft.
