np208 into 79 w/203

was wondering if anyone put a 208 into their 79 F150, and what did they do for driveshafts?

I bought a 79 F250 that someone had swapped in a 5.8 EFI with the ford auto whatever and a NP208. This truck had the original 205 front driveshaft and rear driveshaft connected and seemed to work fine. Now back to your question. I think you want to convert your divorced NP203 to married 208? If it were me Id save the hassle of mixing and matching driveshafts and just take the ones I have to a driveline shop or machine shop and have the exact length drive shafts made.

yeah, it's a married 203 in my 79 bronco w/300 6 & C6. I originally put a BW1356 from an 89 f150, but then found out the ujoint sizes were different and that shafts had to be made, for $600.00...ouch. So I put the 203 back in. Anyhow, I have an 85 f150, that I'm considering putting the 89's shafts and tcase into, and using the 208( same size ujoints as the 79) that's in the 85 for the bronco. But I don't want to have new shafts made. shortened/lengthened I can deal with. so I was wondering what someone did if they did this same swap. I have several shafts, albeit from the 70's, but was wondering what length is in the ballpark, so I can pick which one to use.
