Well heres an interesting one. I was going to do an e fan conversion on my 96 2wd 300 ford f150 5 speed.
Never got around to putting the efans on... and I keep using it to tow the mustang constantly. In philly traffic at 80 degrees I turned the heat on, and it wont get above 3/4 hot. Last weekend I forgot to watch the gauge and with the heat off since I forgot to crank it to cool the truck off. till never went above 3/4. New rad 180 stat powerstroke air vented bumper, no fan, shroud, nothing.
Am I the only one that noticed how cool these trucks run? When i put the e fan in it'll probably never run!
So for the record if you have a good cooling system you really dont need a fan at all on these trucks apparently if you just occasionally use the truck for some country roads and some car hauling like I do
