I was wondering what the real difference between these Trim lines were, including those that may not be listed

Thanks!

Well my dad has a 86 F150 XLT Lariat and it has auto everything and wood grain stuff and carpet where as my 88 F150 Custom has manual everything but transmission and vinyl floors same thing with our 89 F250 XL except wood grain trim and manual transmission. So to me not much difference.

The interiors usually changed up a little. typically the XLT Lariats had better cloth seats, whereas the XL had vinyl seats.

As for auto and manual, my truck is an 89 F250 XLT Lariat. Everything is manual. Windows, locks, tranny and transfercase, hubs. I prefer it that way though because there aren't electronics to burn out in the doors and stuff. It really isn't much of a difference beside a badge on the fender and seats sometimes.
