Could be. It has a regular Ford heater control panel in the center of the dash but I don't think that it is working so maybe somebody installed this.

Can you see up underneath the dash enough to maybe trace some wires?

Yes I probably can. I just haven't had a chance yet. I was busy cutting and splitting wood today and we (mostly my daughter) completely filled up the bed of the truck with split wood for next winter. Maybe I will just leave the switch on the dash and label it "turbo-boost" or something random like that!

Know what ya mean with the time issue. We start 6 day weeks, and dark to dark tomorrow. I just can't wait LOL.

Is it a electric control for a electrically actuated controlled flow valve for the hydraulics?

It might make some sense as it is marked from 0 - 100% which could be percentage of total available flow.

But defiantly a guess on my part

You could be right. It is 0-100%. The hydraulics work in a nice controlled manor. When you push the **** in to lower the bed it comes down gently instead of banging down like the one does on my '54 Chevy grain truck. The word behind the **** is "Ohmite" which seems to be a manufacturer of electronic parts so it is probably just a rheostat. I will crawl under the truck sometime to see if anything is mounted on the hydraulics.
