IIRC, you use a product called Everseal, which is a soft material that comes in a roll. It's maybe 2" wide and comes in a couple of thickness'. Lay the Everseal over the frame glass channel and tap the glass into the frame. Then trim the extra material with a sharp blade. You should be able to get the Everseal at a glass shop.

Set the glass in the channel? Do you mean the seal?

I think the OP is talking about installing the glass in the frame.
I'm wondering the same thing, got new vent frames and new glass, now I need to put the two together.

Now you guys got me thinking. Oh yeah, I haven't replaced the frames and I know you don't need to remove glass for seals, but the glass itself needs some glass tape which you should be able to get at any glass shop (probably the same thing as Everseal). I also think you would be able to use some 3M glass urethane adhesive also if not wanting to use the tape.

if you cant get the window tape local go on line and get it. i used urathane and the glass doesnt center in the frame and then you cant get it to seal right.

Most auto glass shops should have Everseal or something like it. It's a non-adhesive tape that kind of looks like a heavy rubbery roofing felt. I bought some locally from Speedy Glass. Didn't charge much and didn't have to buy a roll. I wouldn't use anything like a glue. If you ever have to get it out again, you'd probably wreck the metal frame. It's pretty easy to do. Just use a rubber hammer on the glass and frame. Use laminated or tempered glass.

That is a great video, but it is not the job they are talking about in this thread.

They are talking about replacing the seal for the glass in the metal frame that has the stud on the bottom.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to order my door glass weather stripping....

I dont have the time to watch that full vid right now. What i need to do is replace the glass in a new frame, then install the frame where the old one is at the moment, thenn ill replace all the weatherstripping at the same time.

You are correct, it is still the wing window. But not that piece of weatherstripping.

As, stated below, it is actually the seal between the glass itself and thecourt metal frame around the glass.

The video is for the wing window weatherstripping, not the wing window glass to frame seal.
