After listening to the video could it maybe be a heat shield doing it??

My old 2001 F350 V10 used to do something like that at a certain RPM only when cold and it was a heat shield.

From the youtube comments for the video posted earlier...."I haven't fixed it yet. But, I have found where the noise is coming from, it is the Pillar on the driver side that the noise is coming from. When I pull on the handle when the noise appears, I can change the sound. I believe it is a small leak in the windshield that isn't sealed and it's allowing air to come through. Let me know if this helps or if you need me to explain better."

My 2010, F-250, extended cab is doing the same thing, on the way to Nashville Saturday, (just bought the truck) I found lose trim on the lower driver's side exterior, I used a piece of DUCT Tape to hold it down and returned from Nashville the same day and never heard it again... I was searching the web for a repair when I found this... I am thinking that if I take it to a windshield place they can fix it quickly...
I will be heading back to Afghanistan on 5 JUN, I will try and get it taken care of and get the results on here before I leave...

Can't appreciate ya enough. For 1) trying to following up to the possible solution of this problem were most people don't (most annoying) and 2) heading to a place such as Afghanistan...for obvious reasons.

Best of luck.

I can grab my o-sh!! handle and change the pitch of the noise on my drivers side a-pillar when the noise is happening. Gotta be a seal.

Hi tcrowls and FORDSDOWNER,

Send a PM my way with your information (VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name) so I can look into this for you. I'll be happy to check out options to assist!

Crystal
