All about the same. Unless you plan on running hot tunes and do a little street racing, it's not really necessary. The stock one is actually really good if you service it regularly.

x2...if you go with a unit ensure it has a good seal. Otherwise you risk dusting your turbo.

I have been running my banks for about 65K miles now.

so whats wrong with stock intake on the high power tunes? does it just not allow it to breath enough? is it bad to have stock intake with high power tunes? im running the HD300 should i be worried about sucking in my air filter or is the problem just that it wont have as much power as it could and cause for higher EGT's?

Nothing like that. You just might trip the filter minder or potentially get a CEL.

so the filter minder is the only issue with the stock intake? The air filter can handle the high power tunes? just curious because the sensor for the filter minder was unhooked when i got the truck, from what im reading it prob kept saying replace filter?

There have been reports of guys literally sucking the paper filter element off the housing with the really Hot tunes. Other than that you are correct, worst case scenario is that you'll trip the filter minder.
