Epump upgrade question about fittings for Bosch 0580464074

Thanks to inspiration from many of you I have removed the fuel bowl and pump on my 95 powerstroke 7.3, created a banjo bolt adapter and am trying to find a fitting that works with Bosch fuel pump# 0580464074 F81U-9350-AA. The guy at the hydraulic store couldn't help me but the female threads measure 10mm x 1.0(he said). Ideally I would like to have a 3/8 barb(at this point I will settle for anything that is not metric), but have been able to find no information or specs on the pump ANYWHERE. I am converting it to run on veg and am pulling my hair out. So many things to do and can't get past this wee little problem. Thinking about tapping the hole with english threads, but I don't know if there is enough material to make a tight seal. Also thinking of shaving the english threads off a 1/4- 1/4 male to female coupling and tapping it with a 10mm metric thread, if I can find it. A 1/8 male npt fitting will turn into the hole 2 times but stops(a 1/8 tap slides effortlessly through the grooves all the way to the bottom of the female side of the pump), though the male 1/8 mpt might go further I am wary of stripping the threads and ruining the pump. Help??!!??

I'm not sure what your question is? What are you trying to connect to? If you have a banjo bolt adapter you just put a hose barb on it.

Hard to find male adapter

The pump has a male side and a female side. I am looking for a barbed fitting for the female side. As I am replacing the mechanical fuel pump with an electric one, I am routing a hose from the female side of the pump. I am trying to fit a 3/8 inch barb to the female side of the pump by any means possible, but it is german and has metric threads. A 1/8 npt connector almost fits, but only goes in a few turns. A 1/8 inch die screws all the way in, making me think it might miraculously be the same pitch and threading as the 10mm X 1.0 measurement made on the female side of the pump by the guy at the hydraulic store. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Google 10mm x 1.0 barb and these came up.
JEGS Inline Fuel Pumps - JEGS

AN Fitting Metric to Barb Adaptors 10mm x 1.0 to 3/8

I think it's what you're looking for.
You have to use metric threads or it just won't seal up.
Make sure to get new copper crush washers, pick up a few in case you take apart a few times.
Also, don't think about re-threading the pump body, stay with standard stuff so when the pump dies you just install a new one in minutes.

Thanks!!

So that is the correct threading? Information on my pump is lacking and when I googled the pump I kept getting info about the one ending in 044. Weird that the hydraulic store didn't have the fitting. Wish the world would standardize things, funny that we are measuring everything according to a dead English kings foot!

I honestly can't say for sure. They don't come with new fittings because you re-use your old one.
Whenever I put a pump on I usually just take it to Parker and get them to match it, and the last one I did was too long ago for me to remember specifics.
Sorry....

I say try a different hydraulic shop, or take it to a parts store and see if they have something metric to thread in there to tell you what exactly the thread size is.
