shifter

My truck ( 52 F-7 ) originally had a selector switch mounted on the shifter that if you were to pull up or push down it would give the signal on the 2 spd rear end to shift.

Is this still avail and what might I call it ( other than selector switch ) so someone knows what I am talking about. It would be nice to find an original style but I am not stuck on that. Thanks

OK, I see the selectors on e-bay, 8 bucks plus 3 shipping or 18 with free shipping, anyone have any experience with these e-bay ones, I wonder if they are junk

Can somebody post a picture of the bracket that holds the selective switch onto the shifter handle, it looks like they are un-available so I will have to fabricate something. Thanks

Talking 2 SP SWITCH

Your local big truck shop will have a switch and possibly the attaching parts. If you can't find a mtg bracket let me know and I will look thru my stuff for you. If its an emergency you can always use a hose clamp to get you going. PS NAPA is where I bought my last 2sp switch.

I have the selector switch plus the bracket that screws around the main shifter to hold it in place, plus the entire wiring all the way back to the eaton actuator on the rear end. Are you still looking for any of this stuff?

Hello, I called the number you e-mailed me and have left two responses on an answering machine with my return # but no return call from your side.

The electric two speed switch (B2Q-4107-A) and the clamp (8QH-4091 ~ replaced E1HZ-4091-A) used to retain it to the shaft lever are the same 1952/86!

Shown here: 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Illustration Section 42, Page 98.

8QH-4091 = AITKEN MOTOR CO. in Aitken MN has ONE = 218-927-2169.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
B2Q-4107-A =

MANDERBACH FORD in Temple PA has 1 = 888-225-4364.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 6 = 888-727-0418.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 17 = 800-543-4959.

Just an up-date to this thread, it took a little while but I did receive what this guy mentioned and I could not be happier, I opened it up this A.M and the guy sent the whole shabang for 45 dollars including the shipping cost, a fair price for some very nice parts, I have been quoted by more than one poster here 50 dollars plus just for that stupid little bent metal deal that holds the switch onto the shifter but all was included with what he sent.

I opened up the case of the where the motor ect is and it is like brand new with oil still in there, not a hint of corrosion. I can say for sure that the one on my truck is already off and I am now working today on FINALLY finishing this two speed shifter fiasco.

I highly recommend this poster if he should ever decide to sell any more of his parts!

Awesome. Yeah I see no purpose to gouging people for parts just because they are one of a kind. That's just tight imo. If you're not going to use it then what is the harm in letting someone have a good deal on it? All I have left is the 239 y-block.
