Neutral safety switch?

Neutral safety switch?
When you put an automatic tranmission in with floor shifter, how are you handling the neutral safety switch. I had one once before with no safety switch, started in gear and spilled a large soda on my wifes white pants. I'll never do that again! There are other reasons obviously, but I haven't seen it addressed here before. Thanks and pics would be great.

I have a C6 with a Lokar shifter. The neutral safety switch is part of the Lokar shifter bracket. As the shifter is moved fore and aft, it engages or disengages the neutral safety switch as it goes in and out of neutral.
