Need advice on 351w rebuild
I bought my first Ford truck this spring. It is a 92 F250 XL, 2wd, extended cab, w/C6 tranny. The truck was a city of San Antonio truck, used on a small municipal airport, and currently has about 84k miles. It is currently my daily driver, as well as my farm truck. Everything is bone stock. I purchased this truck back in March, and found out pretty quick that it is way short on power necessary for pulling a trailer loaded with hay or my tractor through the hills where I live.
I would like to rebuild the engine and increase the low end hp and torque to meet my needs. I have been looking at the 408 stroker kits, but I am open to suggestions. If I purchase the kit, what cam, heads, etc. should I be looking for to match it? Do I need to stick with the stock EFI, or go another route?
Also, how does the stock C6 hold up to increased hp? I would prefer a manual transmission, but would hold on to what I have in order to save money for now.

As far as your C6 transmission goes, it is one of the best designs Ford ever made. It can be built to withstand 400+ HP and beyond without breaking the bank.
