trucks shakes around 65
Had the same problem with my truck (4x2)too. The truck would shake when I'd hit about 64mph. It would stop if I drove over 75mph. felt like I was riding on a skate board with loose wheels. I balanced and rotated the tires I don't know how many times. Finally I took it in for an alignment. The Ford mechanic couldn't align the front end because the castor adjusters where worn out. Replaced the adjustors and had it aligned and has been fine since.

Yes, alignment can do that too. My mom's car did that, 65-75 the steering wheel would shake, and shook the car. It was the alignment. On our trucks the camber nuts can wear out and get loose, and shake with certain forces of being at high speed. It just doesn't firmly hold. You can inspect the U-joints, see if they are secure and in good condition too. But U-joints are easy to change out, and probably a good place to start on this problem like the other guys suggested.

check your u-joints (there should be no play in them at all) also check the carrier bearing on the driveshaft it should be completely solid and the rubber shouldnt move at all. if you dont find somethin there you may want to check the driveline for balance or remove it and make sure none of the joints feel like they may be stuck. in the newer trucks there was a tsb for tailshaft housing bushing wear caused by extended high speed driving. I had the same prob till about 3 days ago when i sent the truck to the axle shop here because a bearing was going out and it was noisy. the guys said that my u-joints were no good I needed a carrier bearing (they said this would cause a freeway speed vib) and my spider gears were completely worn out.
