That's right. The 4bt was in a lot of bread trucks and those little cab over trucks. I think Isuzu had their own 4 cylinder diesel also but I could be wrong on that one. The 6bt is the 6 cylinder that was in the Dodge pickups, some busses, a bunch of pusher motorhomes, and stationary generators. I think the 6bt was also in some White tractors.

4BT's came in delivery trucks like Dorito vans and hostess vans. They are the little brother to the 6bt which came in ram 2500 and 3500's. 4BTs come in many versions including non turbo applications. Chipper shredders, bobcat excavators, generators, farm equipment etc…. They have been swapped into damn near everything. I've seen one in a 69 Camaro that runs in the low 7 second 1/8 mile range.

Not sure about where you live but there are quite a few powder coater/ceramic guys in the Dallas Ft. worth area. The one I used was Specialized Performance Coatings in Arlington TX. SPCoating.com They are only about 7 miles from my house. Alot of the guys over on Yellowbullet.com say they have been very happy with QC coatings; I'm not sure where they are at though.

There probably will not be many updates for the next couple of months. My two boys started baseball which takes up a ton of time and my side business has gone nuts which fills in what ever time is left. So until baseball comes to an end in late may - early june; I doubt I will be able to do much. I could pay other people to do some stuff; but I'm not into other people building my stuff. Thats the easy way out.

Update 8/16/2014

Well, its been a while since I updated this thread. Pretty much been pecking away at the build. Got the one piece windows complete and some other high time stuff. The hood has been smoothed and the seam filled. The hood, doors, front fenders, and other small front end stuff is at the painter. He has all the blocking done and everything is ready for paint. I am trying to get the cab finished and to him in the next couple of weeks so he can paint it all at once. The bed and tailgate will get painted at a later date. I did some work on the fire wall today. I removed all the holes in the upper half including the cowl to hood seal holes, the washer squirter holes, and the large hole in the center. I made a rain gutter per say for the water that runs down from in between the hood and the cab.

I had to convert a 69 door to a 67 door to match my drivers side.

What's the gauge on your cowl? I think that's a great idea. Might put an air/fuel or a vacuum gauge there on mine.
