89 E250 with 7.4 idi and e40d. My first van, bought it from a friend a couple of years ago who had doomed it beyond repair just to prove him wrong Now it has regained atleast some its former glory and I cant imagine myself ever selling it

List of things I have done:

Fixed everything electrical exept cruise, new stereo/speakers, "new" used winter wheels & tires (from a dodge), not so new used summer wheels&tires (from a suburban) replaced smelly floor carpet, curtains, replaced rusty rear doors, TC lockup switch, made a new cupholder out of oak boards and painted to match colour of dash, 2 x 950cca batteries, new brake calipers and pads, replaced a worn out kingpin, fixed leaking AC and thats all i can remember for now. Right now im tearing down a spare engine that will get som power mods to replace the current engine, and when thats done I have a spare e4od that will be built up too....

This is the Mutt. Original price to me was $700, I drove it home.

The Mrs. named it the mutt because it is like a stray dog that wondered into our yard, no one wanted to claim it so we decided to keep it and make it into a show dog....it is still a mutt...

It is a 1975 E250 that was professionally converted to a camper van (mfg. plate riveted to the front fender). The mutt has 87K miles, a 351W, C6, Dana 60, power steering, power brakes, aftermarket A/C, on-board propane for a stove, potable water storage for a sink, a couch that folds out into a bed for two, and a 35 gallon fuel tank.

Absolutely no rust.
I completely rebuilt the front end to include king pins, I beam bushings, sway bushings, tie rod ends, brakes, shocks, and everything in between. I rebuilt the C6. I changed timing chain and gears, water pump, fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, new distributor, cap, rotor, wires, gaskets, hoses, vacuum and fuel lines.
This is like a new truck, and drives like a dream.

I would like to replace a few things, like the grill, but I have a hard time finding parts, any suggestions?

'78 E250

Some real nice survivors there guy's.
Here are some scans of the one I bought new in '78. 300ci, Dana w/3.73, 3 on the tree but swapped in a C-6 by the time these photo's were taken on a trip out west in 1988. Started with a bare bones cargo van with P/S, P/B, only options were a second seat and a spare tire. When these pics were shot there was a full silver/blue **** interior, 2 captains chairs, 3 sunroofs, killer tape deck with 140 watt amp & 3-way speakers, tinted glass, mood lighting and of course a place to sleep. Later when kids needed a place to ride, 2 more captains chairs and a larger bay window were added. Really wish I still had this one, simple like a tractor. Drove it for 24 trouble free years. But at least I hung on to the girl.

Here is my 1984 Ford E250 Pathfinder Quadravan 4x4. I call it THE TANK . Converted by Pathfinder conversion in Cali. No longer in business. Its sitting on a 79 F250 frame. Has a 460/c6 auto. It was completely stock when I got it then added all the offroad stuff and engine components. Has an edelbrock intake and 4bbl carb, sealed power mild cam and lifters, added a dual battery to run the 7 offroad lights, superduty aftermarket rear bumper, 33in tires, 6" superlift front springs, new rear leafs (were broken when I bought it). It had a nice interior but I stripped it cause I was gonna fix all the rust but found too much rust so i turned it into my offroad only vehicle. Even though it is street legal and i do drive it occassionally but needs alot of work. I want to find a newer body style van like a 3/4 ton or 1 ton extended length diesel van and put my 4x4 stuff in it. This body is just too far gone to save. I will keep drivin it till it rusts away.

Here it is shortly after I bought it. I bought those wheels for it. Paid just as much for those wheels as I did for the van haha.

I made that rack out of old kubota tractor crates.

Here it is at a mud run I used to compete in every yr. It did very well for a van. Kept up with some of the guys with thousands in their motors. This was before I put the offroad lights on it.

Wow, that'd take a week to clean....
I use a Suzuki Samurai for those conditions.
