Front drivers cv axle has come out of differential housing!

Okay, I have an 06' F150 4x4. The front drivers cv axle has come out of the differential. How big of a PITA is this to change? Had a garage fix this side about a year ago due to a wreck and the cv axle had popped out then.

Nope, all stock. Took it to them today, said they would look at it and see if the clip just came off. Still waiting.

Could be a clip ..... unusual to happen twice. I understand it happening if the front wheel / spindle is pulled away. Maybe that shop never got her clip back right? Maybe they didn't put a clip back?
