Rusted truck bed,99f150

Hey guy's I am new to this site and I am a first time truck owner and I need some help.. I need to know a good site to goto to find pannels to
go over the rusted pannels of my truck bed.. I was going to get a a sheet of hot rolled steel and tac weld it in and spray line x on it.. A friend told me to look for fitted pannels and the pannels would be cheaper.. So what do you all think?? The sheet of 11g metal cost $350. The type truck I have is ..99f150xlt step side crew cab..with a 4 inch lift..

I have the same problem in my truck (91 250). One of the PO's had a 5th wheel and left a nice 3 foot square of rust in my bed. Check ebay for patches. Im going to get a couple of the ones I saw on there its around 80 bucks shipped for 3 16" by 48" pannels. heres the link to the ones im going to get.

Try the 97-03 part of this forum I'm positive they have more info about your model of truck.

Could go to a parts yard find any 97-03 F150 and buy the bed and then part it as needed to patch up your truck, since you seem to have access to metal working tools.
