a senseless IAT sensor?

ok... driving around today, i notice my IAT on the
dash daq is sitting at 60 degrees. where i was driving
at, the outside temp was 94 degrees. it didn't twitch at
all....

the next thing happening is my trans fluid temperature,
which has never hit 170, no matter what i'm doing,
is at 188....... at the same time the air temp is 60. hmm.

EOT and ECT are both in the 190's.

so, i drive it a bit, and shut off, and when i turn it back on
the IAT temp comes up at 135, about what you'd expect
from a heat soaked motor on a hot day.... within 5 minutes
of driving, it's down to 98, about right for the outside temp...

no codes were set...

it seems i had two sensors behaving strangely at the same time....
started it up again, and the IAT is stuck at 60 again.

unplug the dashdaq and plug it back in, and after the boot, it
shows a correct moving temperature, not 60......

any thoughts on where to look at why this is happening?

I'm assuming you are referring to IAT#1, which is part of the MAF. Unplug it and see what it reads.
