Ok well here's what I'm getting 2013 wolf pack model 21wp120 its a toy hauler with a 8'x10' deck on the front has a dry hitch weight of 586lbs. Dry ship weight 6,279lbs. GVWR 7,586lbs. Cargo carrying capacity 1,269lbs. So what do you guys think I need? Does that gvwr include the weight of my toys up front and generator? I will be hauling my wife and four kids and a couple dogs plus anything else in the back of the excursion so would I be safer with the 1,200/12,000 or 1,400/14,000 hitch.

Sure wish I had talked to you before I bought one. I sure could have saved myself from being happy with it.
You'll have to forgive me Bion, but I can't figure out how this system provides any sort of weight distribution at all. The spring bars with a conventional system distribute weight with the length and stiffness of the spring bars that both torque the hell out of a receiver hitch and apply a downward force on the trailer frame.

How does this system distribute the weight?

What is going up front? Given the gvwr of the trailer your tounge weight should be below 1200# so the 1400 should be unnecessary. But if you have a real heavy quad up there it may be more than 1400 depending on how the trailer is loaded. Yes the gvwr is with toys and genny....and everything else you put in it.

I have two quads weighing about 600lbs. Each and also one dirt bike there is also a platform directly behind the lp tanks for my generator which weighs 194lbs.

How does this system distribute the weight?

I made these diagrams and posted them originally in RV.net to illustrate how the Andersen WD hitch works. It uses the same principals of geometry and leverage as the others.

Thanks Bion, I like those diagrams. From the video it didn't appear to me that you could get that much tension on the chains with the trailer frame brackets the way they were. It would appear that they would have to be much tighter than those used on the conventional setups.

You sound satisfied with it, have you also used the conventional setups that are available?
