I was thinking of installing the overhead console with computer in my 02 F250 XLT. It didn't come factory with console and I was curious just how hard of a job is the install. Also I assume I will need to add a separate wiring loom to plug it in and anyone have any idea where to find one of those for a decent price?

 

I have been looking into this guy who sells 150 retrofit overhead console and the f250 ones with computers and i believe they even come with wiring diagrams and everything. Ol' Bird is the guys name i believe if you google it it might come up ill try and find a link to it.

 

Retrofit Ford F150, F250, F350 Overhead Console Kits there ya go I found it. The one your looking for is about $400 on here that is also the one with MPG and everything there is one with just the temp and compass for a little cheaper.

I have a oldbird f150 console in my 2003 superduty, it has just the compass and temp. Pretty easy to install , he give's you a template to cut the headliner and all the wiring info you need. Just take your time and you will do fine.

 

Go with the Old Bird kit. He has made some modification to the consoles and the very good instructions make it very easy to fit.

 

i did an old bird install on my 02. very easy, and fits perfectly with his instructions.
