can some one please settle an argument that im having with my other tech in our shop about injectors
we just instaled new set on one of our ambulance (ambulance fleet by the way) its a 7.3 we know that #8 inj has to go in that cyl. cuz if its not it wont start but he says that thier is no right side inj and left side inj when thier marked up top i say thier is whose right and if thier wrong are codes p1316 and p1360 comond codes for that
If you are asking if there are different injectors for the Driver's side head and passenger's side head, then No, they are all the same. With the exception of if you are installing a Long Lead injector in #8 aka AE code injector. Although no matter where you install this injector the engine will still start and not be noticeable honestly.
A code P1316 on a 7.3 means that the IDM(Injector Drive Module) has stored codes, you retrieve those through a KOEO, or BUZZ test.
The code P1360 does not pertain to a 7.3 so I would ignore that one.
