Generac Generator uses V10

So I was looking at some generators and I found that Generac Commercial Generators have the 6.8L V10 engine=) Check it out the 100KW-150KW have them. Priced from about $24800-$30400.
I have a much smaller Generac only 8000watts=(

I just finished putting a generac v10 in my 99 F-250 I was hoping for a straight swap but I had to change the timing cover the oil pan and I couldn't use my original intake on the bright side my exhaust manifolds were useable but it was worth it I got the engine for a grand and it only had 10 hours on the generator and there is a very noticeable power increase at low end as well as at higher RPMs

I wonder what kind of engine control they used. Something that could be used off truck? They had to have plug firing and throttle control.

Fords in generator applications goes way back. The place I used to work has a nat gas mid 70's 302 generator. They have had it since new.

What's up with all the Cummins diesel logos on a V10 powered generator?

I wouldn't say all the stickers, it's just the one really. However it is a little strange. Someone might have just put it on as a joke way back and left it

The stickers are legit. That is a Cummins/Onan color too.

Interesting that that spec sheet is for a turbo charged V10. Ours is not turbo'd.

They are saying the GM 8.1l is turbo charged too. I think a diesel boy wrote the specs on the gassers and don't know they don't have turbos.
