Got Approval from the Finance Dept.

The Wife and I are planning a road trip to LA from Southern ILL for the Holidays, during one of the 'meetings' she brings up "Can we take the truck?"
Uhhh . . . . . sure, (it's a frame sitting in the carport right now) so i said, "It is going to need a lot done to be able to do it." So after a discussion on what my original plan was and the end goal, i have been approved for push to get it going with new front disc's, a different rear end(currently stock) and a paint job.

Well played, sir!

So, you still have to actually do the work while holding down a day job, huh?

Happy Motoring!

That's a mighty long trip! I don't remember the story on your truck, have you driven it? You'll go thru some really pretty country, depending how you go, but you'll need top-notch chassis for crossing the Rockies and the California ranges. How long can you take off for the trip?

I've got a week and a half off, Dec 22nd through Jan 1st. The plan is two days out, 3 days there, and the rest to get home. So as long as i can get the truck up and running by the end of Oct. beginning of Nov. then I should have enough time to run the bugs out before the trip, the other incentive is that summer is running out along with the good ridding weather, so being that my only mode of transportation is my motorcycle . . . i feel some long sleepless days of wrenching coming up. my build thread is

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ear-diary.html

so if you want to watch the mayhem happen.

the interest rate is that I build it so she can drive it also.
