Vent window Question.

Does anyone know what the part number is for the rubber seal that goes between the glass and the swivel frame on a 66F100? Does anyone reproduce it?.........Bill?

Thanks G. I looked through my 2009 catalogue but it wasn't in there. Is it a newer reproduction?

It's not rubber, there's no Ford part number for it and Carpenter does not reproduce it.

"Glass Tape" is used to bond the vent glass to the vent frame. Available from any autoglass shop.

Shown here: 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Body Illustration Section 200 - Page 5.

Arrow points to seal in question, has # before arrow. Bottom of page: # = Use glass tape.

Since the glass setting tape comes in various widths, usually 1 1/2", and different thicknesses, suggest taking the frame and glass with you. Purchased glass setting tape online and basically measured the thickness of the glass and inside measurement of the frame, then selected a thickness that allowed for a snug but not too tight of a fit, cost between $.70 to $1.00/ft. If the glass is still in the frame may want to get a qoute, if reasonable, have the auto glass shop do it, removing the glass can be a pain in the backside.
