IMRC replacement
I have the P1518 code for Intake Manifold Runner Control. I can not seem to find anyone that has the actuator itself only the electronic control which, I take connects to the actuator. Is the electronic portion the only thing that needs to be changed and clean the actuator butterfly with the manifold off, or does the actuator need to be found and replaced?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Have you checked the plastic clips to see if thay broke, and the small rod came out?

Here is an excellent write up with pictures explaining just about anything you would want to know about how to remove the intake manifold to fix a P0171 and P0174 code which results from carbon and oil build up in the intake system on the 4.2 V-6. Along with his detailed instructions and excellent photos, on page 2, step #46, click the IMRC Bushing Fix link. You will see the P1518 code fix.
The first link is the intake removal and isolator bolt replacement. The second link is the IMRC bushing fix.
