Gear Indicator Selector

I have a 2001 Sport Trac. I was hooking up my boat, and went to put it into "R" and heard something that sounded like plastic break. Then, the gear selector seemed to move freely between all the gears. I know it is a pretty vague question, but has anyone else had this problem, and what part do I ask for to repair it. Or more importantly, HOW do I repair it?
Thank you!

UPDATE:
I got it figured out. There is a clevis pin that centers the gear shifter cam (I'm not sure if these are the technical names, I'm just trying to describe what they do). The cam fits into the park lock, the thing that releases the gear shifter when you apply the brake pedal. Fortunately, I found the pin. It's pretty much a PITA to get all the trim panels off,and some are covered up by others, kind of like a dove tail, but it wasn't too bad.
