Where's third gear?!?!
Hi guys- I have an 83 F-350 Dually with a 460 and T19. I'm having a hard time finding third ( and fourth) gear when shifting. The lever travels way too far to the right, and misses the gear. Very difficult to drive in traffic.
Is there an adjustment to help align the lever with the proper gear, and how is it done? Any input is appreciated!

There is a spring-loaded plunger that the shifter contacts to prevent it moving over toward reverse accidentally, while selecting 3rd or 4th.......possibly that spring has broken, or compressed with age.
