A 300 straight 6 is an inline engine. A 351 will take up most of the engine bay. A 5.0 will have a 2 part intake. Google image search each engine to see which best matches

The 5.0 and 5.8 motors will look very similar with a large upper intake portion curving up over the passenger side valve cover and twin throttlebodies positioned vertically towards the front. If you look closely at the upper portion the 5.0 has rectangular shaped ports while the 5.8 is oval, or measure the width of the lower portion between the valve covers, something like 9" is a 5.0 but it'll be about 11" for the 5.8.

If however the motor has a carb style intake with twin throttlebodies positioned horizontally and dead center on a 90deg elbow you have the gas guzzling 7.5(460).

Also look at the distance between the water pump boss and the head. On a 302, it's right up to the head. On a 351, there's a little gap.
