When I said it doesn't turn, I should have said it isn't stuck, there is a piece broken and needs to be replaced!!

Just replaced my fuel pump and when I opened the shutoff valve it started leaking. I looked up the part #7HC-9189 on Backcounter.com. Dennis Carpenter NOS parts had a couple. It just arrived today and is the same as in the first picture. $20 + shipping. Now to replace it with 3/4 tank of gas......

Fuel pumps and fuel lines always go bad when you've just filled the tank!

My local hardware store has the valves in the bin, I chose not to put one in. I elected to go with a 90 out of the tank to 3/8" push lock hose up to the fuel pump.

I have a tank full of rust/debris so I installed a racor filter before the fuel pump. so far so good as I have caught ALOT of junk and kept it out of the fuel pump. I know eventually I may have to replace the tank, but I was able to put about 1,000 mi. on the '49 last summer/fall.
