I just had to register my 2002 X in Iowa for another year. I am curious what others are paying for registration (not tax). My 2002 X Limited 4x4 V10 cost me $248.50.
Registration for new jersey 2005 v10 excursion is $71.50, I can't believe registration for you is $250, that's ridiculous, and new jersey is one of the highest cost of living in the states. Are you sure that didn't include tax or surcharge for something??????

Registration in WV is $30/yr. State inspection is $12 and change (can't recall exactly, but I've got one due this month). I don't know about property tax since it hasn't been assessed yet.

NJ was cheap for car registration and gasoline, as I recalled when I lived there for 16 yrs. and moved to CA in 1997.
My Honda Civic registration was $45 or something a year. Back then, you had to get it inspected every year at a state inspection station (free of charge) and wait in line for HOURS on your one Saturday a year. Or, you could pay a shop to inspect it and have it done in a few minutes.
Other than those 2, everything else was darn expensive! Especially car insurance and property taxes.
