MAP vs MAF sensors

I have a '99 f-250 with the 7.3L turbo diesel. Heard a rumor about being able to spray your MAP sensor with something to help your power & milage. Only thing I can come up with is some MAF(mass air flow sensor) spray that I found at a parts store. Anybody know if this is suppose to work & can I use it on the MAP sensor in my truck?

I think you got some bad info and someone is confusing spraying the MAF on a gas engine with a cleaner with the MAP sensor you have on your diesel.

You're not going to spray your MAP sensor with anything that will make an improvement.

Thats what I was thinking but they were pretty convinced it was the MAP sensor they sprayed. I know the MAF sensor is in a gas engine, just trying to get some info .as to what this possibably could of been that was sprayed to help get better mileage
