1979 F350 Super Cab XLT Ranger - imported from Montana to Australia
Hi Guys
I just imported the above truck with I fell in love with on a US trip. Took about 2 months to get here but just passed the Australia Compliance requirements last week. But before I register her (licensed to drive on the road here) I need to do some work on her (considering she is 33 years old) I am only to happy. I am trying to find a good place in the US to buy all the parts I need, I see lots on ebay/google but who do you guys recommend? I just want to place an order for it all and then have them FEDEX it to me
This is what I need to work on
Steering shaft uni excessively worn.
Front diff outer shaft leaking
Loose/leaking seal flange at rear transfer of case, drive shaft.
Leaking between gear box and transfer case.
Front fuel tank flopping around, needs to be secured.
Battery clamp.
Shocks worn and all shock bushes perished.
All sway bar bushes perished.
Body mount bushes perished.
I am also after a replacement re bumper bar (chrome), and some other badges etc
Any good recommendations?
Cheers
Simon

Hey Mate, thanks for the information and fast reply. I brought it from a guy in Kalispell (Mike) back in Feb. Last Friday I picked it up from the Australian Compliance Engineers and drove it 100 miles home...........I was like a kid in a candy store!! Love my FTRUCK!

conversion
Hi Mate
Depends on the state, as I live in Queensland and the truck is more than 30 years old she can stay left hand drive. No restrictions just pay my fee for registration and away you go. I did not want to go through the nightmare of conversion of any older truck. Only item I need to do is display a yellow sticker on the back saying "Left Hand Drive"..
Cheers
