Could you pop a pic? There are clips that slide into the trim to hold it..and clips that snap on the body that are plastic...The quarter panels have a flair there not flat that can cause it to pop off...With the amount of clear coat the plastic clips can become a PITA to get on the studs...But a pic is worth a thousand words.

You should be able to snap the trim on the plastic clips after it is in position ...Set it in place with the trim hanging on the top of the clip. then pop it on the bottom with the heal of your hand ,or a small ribber mallet (carefully )...

Thank you for the tip! I will most assuredly try this tomorrow. That would MUCH simpler than the way I had been trying. Thanks again.
