71 rain trough trim installation...

A while back I bought the chrome trim that runs on the rain gutter that wraps around the cab roof. The guy who owned the scrap yard pulled it off himself (he wouldn't let me do it and made me wait a few days). I payed him and this stuff has been sitting in my garage for a few years. Will this trim install on my 71 truck that didn't have it to begin with? Sounds stupid but when I look at it it looks like it might go, but I'm afraid of breaking it in the process. Plus, I don't want to scratch up the paint if it's not a match! Any of you body guys messed with this before?

yeah, i did the same thing to my truck which didnt have the trim before. it mounts right on there. just start placing it around on the rain gutter and take a rubber hammer and tap it onto the gutter.

You should start it off with your fingers & thumbs in a twisting on motion top to bottom.

Just Make sure you have the curve of corner correct or you will starting over.
